Last weekend myself and 2 like minded photography enthusiasts drove approx. 300kms South to Pemberton, a small town in our SWR surrounded by Karri forests, farmland and wineries. We stayed at the Karri Valley Resort, where cabins nestled around a lake provide ample photo opportunities.
I expect it's a pretty spot no matter what time of year, but we had specifically chosen Winter as we were hoping for some morning fog or mist over the lake (and lets face it, the later sunrises in Winter are more achievable despite the cold).
We were fortunate with the weather for most of the weekend. It didn't rain, we got some mist at the lake, and we weren't doomed by boring blue sky. The weekend was full of photography and adventures (as usual). I wont go into details, but incidents included; trespassing; fart soup; stampeding cow attacks and strangers in the bedroom. Thanks Nicole and Colleen for an awesome weekend of "Hunger Games".
Here are a few of my favourite images from the weekend, enjoy :-)
